Tattooing and Body Piercing
There is a potential risk for bloodborne viruses such as hepatitis B, hepatitis C and HIV to be passed on by using tattooing or body piercing equipment that has not been properly sterilised. Healthcare professionals and policy-makers alike have raised concerns about this risk in light of the increasing practices of tattooing and body piercing.
