In May 2013, 9,318 residents in 190 Irish long-term care facilities (LTCF) were included in a European  point prevalance survey (PPS) of healthcare-associated infections (HCAI) and antimicrobial use. The survey is also known as the HALT survey. This is the national report for Ireland.
