Care Bundle Tool for Medical Device Management (Excel-based) -
Care bundle data is in most cases collected on a paper-based form and the results are transferred to a computer for analysis. This tool was developed to make that process easier at a ward level so that a standardised paper form capable of monitoring any 5 elements on any medical device could be entered into a standardised Excel tool and the results automatically analysed. Individual wards in a hospital can design their own care bundle and then use it to monitor the management of a particular device over a one year period. The frequency of undertaking the care bundle should be determined locally, but in general weekly is recommended. Data is entered into this tool and results are presented at ward level with further break down by team level if required. This tool was developed in Microsoft Excel. Two versions of the tool are available below for 2015.
1. Device Care Bundle Tool for the Acute Setting Version 2.3 (Excel 2007)
